As an athlete at the University of Delaware, Lize began practicing yoga as a way to incorporate more strength and flexibility into my fitness routine. She found that through regular practice, yoga helped her manage stress and live a more joyful life.

After graduating in 2016, Lize continued her education becoming a certified yoga teacher through One-Yoga. Through learning the 8 limbs of yoga, Lize became passionate about incorporating the Yamas and Niyamas into every day live. Applying the practical guidance, she learned in yoga, she’s guided in all aspects by kindness, non-harming, non-stealing and moderation. These principals help guide how we live in the world, treat others and how we treat the environment. Aside from being passionate about yoga, Lize is a champion for the environment and seeks to share knowledge about how to be kinder to the Earth.

Her mission is to help other people live better, more joyful lives. Her teaching focuses on the importance of cultivating the mind-body connection in order to release tension, things that weigh us down, and live more clearly and more fully. Lize teaches her students the tools to realize their personal power, to find happiness and joy within.
